Dr. Rauk is a restorative dentist and a cosmetic dentist, so he restores optimal oral health and function with attractive, natural-looking restorations. One example of this is composite resin fillings. These tooth-colored fillings contain no metal (amalgam). Instead, they are made of a durable quartz-filled resin material that matches your tooth enamel shade.

To treat a cavity with a tooth-colored filling Dr. Rauk will prepare the tooth by removing decay and bacteria. Next, he will apply a custom-tinted composite resin and harden it with a cool curing light. After shaping and polishing the filling, Dr. Rauk will check for proper occlusion to ensure that the top and bottom teeth fit together properly. He will make sure your new filling is not only beautiful, but comfortable and functional.
